These Herb Cream Cheese Swirl Crescent Rolls combine flaky, buttery dough with a vibrant herb and cream cheese filling for an easy yet impressive treat. Perfect for brunch or a special occasion!
Ingredients
- 225g (8oz) Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
- 120g (4oz) Cream Cheese, Softened
- 30g (2 Tbsp) Unsalted Butter, Melted
- 15g (1 Tbsp) Fresh Dill, Chopped
- 15g (1 Tbsp) Fresh Parsley, Chopped
- 15g (1 Tbsp) Fresh Chives, Chopped
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- 5g (1 tsp) Lemon Zest
- 2.5g (½ tsp) Black Pepper
- 1g (¼ tsp) Salt
- 30ml (2 Tbsp) Olive Oil
- 30g (2 Tbsp) Toasted Pine Nuts or Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make Filling: Combine cream cheese and melted butter; mix in dill, parsley, chives, garlic, lemon zest, pepper, and salt.
- Separate Dough: Separate crescent roll triangles, keeping them refrigerated.
- Add Filling: Spread 1 tsp of filling on the wide edge of each triangle.
- Roll & Seal: Roll each triangle tightly and pinch to seal.
- Arrange & Garnish: Arrange rolls seam-down on the baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle with pine nuts/sesame seeds.
- Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool & Finish: Let cool for 2 minutes, then dust with extra lemon zest.
Notes
For best results, use softened cream cheese and handle the dough gently. Feel free to experiment with different herbs!
