The BEST crockpot turkey chili! This healthy chili recipe is made with lean ground turkey, beans & the perfect blend of spices! It’s slow cooked in the crockpot making it a delicious & easy weeknight dinner!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground turkey
- 15 oz. canned kidney beans, drained & rinsed
- 15 oz. canned pinto beans with jalapeños, drained & rinsed
- 14.5 oz. canned fire roasted diced tomatoes (not drained)
- 14.5 oz. canned crushed tomatoes
- ½ of a white onion, diced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- 1½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- ½ tsp black pepper
- â…›–¼ tsp cayenne
Instructions
- Step: Sauté the turkey. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot add the turkey and season with salt and black pepper. Sauté the turkey until it’s cooked all the way through then transfer it to your crockpot using a slotted spoon.
- Step: Cook. Add the rest of your ingredients to the crockpot then cover and set it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Step: Serve! Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy.
Notes
Regular pinto beans can be used instead of the pinto beans with jalapeños. If you prefer your chili thinner, try adding another ½ cup – 1 cup of chicken broth. Note: Your crockpot will create more moisture as it cooks so it’s OK if the chili doesn’t look very soupy at first.
