Description
Crispy chicken wings coated in a rich garlic and savory Parmesan sauce, made easily in an air fryer. This recipe is perfect for quick, hearty weeknight meals without deep-frying.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs fresh chicken wings, split wingettes and drumettes
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prep The Wings: Pat wings very dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper, ensuring each piece is lightly coated.
- Air Fry Wings: Arrange wings in a single layer in your air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy (internal temperature 165°F). Shake the basket frequently for even browning.
- Make The Sauce: While wings cook, melt butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Stir in garlic powder and grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
- Toss And Serve: Immediately transfer hot, crispy wings to a clean large bowl. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over them and toss gently until evenly coated. Serve right away.
Notes
To maintain crispness, do not add the sauce until after air frying. Pre-minced garlic is a good shortcut for speed. For best results, select fresh, plump chicken wings. If wings aren’t browning evenly, try shaking the air fryer basket more frequently.
