Easy chocolate covered apples with crisp fruit, rich chocolate, and fun toppings. A festive family-friendly dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples
  • 12 oz dark, milk, or white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup caramel (optional)
  • 1 cup assorted toppings (crushed cookies, chopped nuts, sprinkles, shredded coconut, mini marshmallows)
  • 6–8 wooden or lollipop sticks
  • Optional add-ins: peanut butter drizzle, vegan chocolate, sugar-free chocolate

Instructions

  1. Prep apples: Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Remove any wax if needed.
  2. Insert sticks: Push skewers or lollipop sticks into the apple cores securely.
  3. Melt chocolate: Melt chocolate in microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  4. Dip apples: Roll apples in melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  5. Add toppings: Sprinkle nuts, coconut, or cookies while chocolate is wet. Drizzle caramel if using.
  6. Set: Place apples on parchment-lined tray and refrigerate 30–40 minutes until firm.
