Ingredients
- 1 cup (140g) almonds, raw, roasted, or blanched
- 6 ounces (170g) good-quality dark, milk, or white chocolate
- Optional: shredded coconut, finely crushed toffee bits, ground cinnamon, caramelized sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder
- Optional add-ins: pinch of sea salt, coarse sugar
Instructions
- Roast the Almonds: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread almonds on a baking sheet and roast for 10–12 minutes, stirring once. Cool slightly.
- Melt the Chocolate: Break chocolate into small pieces. Melt in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each.
- Coat the Almonds: Add roasted almonds to melted chocolate, stirring to coat each one fully.
- Separate and Set: Lift almonds individually with a fork and place on parchment-lined tray.
- Flavor Twist (Optional): Dust with cocoa powder, sprinkle cinnamon, or roll in coconut before chocolate sets.
- Chill Until Firm: Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until chocolate hardens completely.
